TEHRAN(IAF):The first anniversary of Iraj Zand, Iranian painter and sculptor died last December at hospital was held in Naseri hall of Iranian Artists Forum on December 15, 2007 .According to the news website of( IAF) his family , the pioneers of visual arts and his students had gathered to hear the memories of professors Jafari, Zabehi and Iskandari about Iraj Zand.

Jafari who was talking in his round table said:" Iraj loved traveling and his life was passing in trip. He hated followed agreements" .He mentioned to the periods he got the professor of Arts faculty at Tehran University and said:" He noticed to his painting studio a lot, his studio was a place he cut all his relations with materialistic world. His studio was a place in the mountain and like a temple.

Professor Zabehi , another friend of Zand said:" He worked in Giyoon Berg Studio in Paris. Some times he had problems with his professor as he could not realize the abstract meaning of his works and he just paid attention in to margin!He could find out the meaning of visual art when he left Paris."

Eskandari another lecture of the ceremony mentioned to the first meeting with Zand in his exhibition in Art faculty and said: "Zand belonged in to the East; the limpidity brimmed in his paintings. He liked wall painting, a style which belongs to all people."

At the end of this ceremony, those present visited the fall exhibition of Iranian painters association which was held in the name of Zand in Momayez Hall of Iranian Artists forum from December 15 to 20 December. Works of Alireza Espahbod, Farah Osouli , Iraj Eskandari, Hossein Khosrojerdi, HosseinAli Zabehi, Iraj Zand, Yaghoob Amame pich , Manijeh Sahi , Mohammadreza Firooze ee, Simin Keramati and Masoumeh Mozafari are exhibited in this exhibition.
